Parks Program

The parks programs are available in Meidinger, Nickeus, and Klaus Parks beginning Monday, June 7th and ending Friday, July 30th for children ages 6-12. These parks will provide supervised activities Monday – Friday, 9:00am to 12:00pm and 1:00-4:30pm. Some of the activities will include arts, crafts, hiking, fishing, biking, canoeing, and much, much more. This program is free to those who wish to participate, sponsored by the Jamestown Parks and Recreation. Parents are responsible for all transportation.

Special Events of the Parks Program:

*On special event days supervisors will not be at their regular park, they will be assisting with the special events at the designated park/location.

June

7th *Parks Program Begins – Monday-Friday, 9:00am-12:00pm,
1:00-4:30pm, at Klaus, Meidinger, and Nickeus parks

11th *Tennis Carnival – 10:00-11:30am Bolinger Courts

12th -13th *10th Annual Kite Festival – 10:30am to 4:30pm @ Hillcrest Soccer Complex
Everyone is Welcome! No Charge

15th *23rd Annual Dog Show @ Central Dakota Village – 2:30pm

16th *Boat Safety @ the Marina, Jamestown Reservoir
-Classes will be held at 10:00am and 1:00pm
Parks program will attend the 10:00am class

17th *Bike Safety Rodeo – 2:00-4:00pm at Wilson Arena

25th *Pool Carnival @ Jamestown Municipal Pool 1:00pm to 3:45pm

July

1st *23rd Annual Dog Show @ Hi Acres Manor – 2:30pm

4th *No Parks Programs due to the holiday

8th * Leapaldt Park Day 2:00-4:00pm, Go to Leapaldt Park for an afternoon of fun and games

16th *Kids Fishing Derby @ Little Britches Pond 9:00-11:00am. Win Prizes for your
catch of the day! Door prizes will also be given away. Please bring you own
fishing pole, bait will be provided.

28th *Pool Carnival @ the Jamestown Municipal Pool 1:00-3:45pm
TBA*Canoe Trip, 2 trips that day – they will leave at 9:00am and 1:00pm. Your child
must be pre-registered with a park supervisor (we can only talk a limited # of kids
and each child must bring his/her own lifejacket to be worn at all times)

30th *Picnic in the park! Each park will have an end of the year potluck picnic
starting at 12:00pm. Come Join the FUN!
